This one kept on surprising me. I didn’t think I’d ever see this again as I had missed it during its limited edition by Gucci Westman for Revlon last year. I came across it by chance, and at half price too! Maybe they relaunched it? Revlon does that sometimes, with more popular items from limited editions. Usually they rename it in the process to make them seem new again, I suppose.
Revlon Elusive looks like its a teal blue-green hex and micro glitter in a black base. What it actually is, is silver hex and micro glitter in a blackened teal jelly base! The sheerness of the base colours the glitter, making it took greeny blue. Interesting effect. The formula was thicker than I’m accustomed to from Revlon, but going slow it was manageable. It was pretty sheer in one coat, but evened out and looked great with two. Elusive surprised me again by drying matte!
Matte, chunky textured glitter. Now I was actually ok with this. I like matte polishes. I like weird and different. However this wasn’t the look I was going for today! So I slopped on a thick coat of a top coat I wanted to finish up using anyway, and I liked the look a whole lot more! Beautiful!
From far away, the glitter doesn’t stand out well and it looks like a (still gorgeous) super dark teal/navy. Overall I really like it, and extra points for being interesting both matte and shiny! What do you think, matte or shiny?
Enjoy the rest of your week!
I have this color and I love it. It’s so pretty!

I like it too, it’s quite unique! Going to try it over a coat of plain black or maybe that blackened teal creme one I have next, see what happens.
